Darlene Baker 58, of St. Cloud Florida was born October 2, 1966, and passed away on December 16, 2024.

Darlene was a loving, affectionate and bright individual who always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She married the love of her life Gene Allen Baker Sr. in December of 1992. Not only was she a devoted and loving wife of 32 years, but she was also committed to caring for those around her. She had a heart of gold and would do anything for the people she loved. She truly never met a stranger. The things that she loved most in life were first and foremost her grandchildren. She loved spending quality time with them more than anything. She also loved reading and true crime.  She could get lost in a book and read for hours on end.  She would brighten a room with her laughter and touched many hearts with her kindness. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Darlene was preceded in death by her biological parents Heath Miller and Mary Zajonc, her adoptive parents Carl and Charlotte Smith, and her stepson Gene Allen Baker JR. Left to cherish her memory are her husband Gene Allen Baker Sr., her daughters Heather (Daron) Bickle, Anna (Anthony) Helmig, her stepdaughters Tiffany Baker and Stephanie Baker, and her grandchildren Conner Bickle, Jaxon Bickle, Kaleb Baker, Karlee Helmig, and Kenzie Helmig.
