Jack Dean Roskind, of St. Cloud, Florida passed away on May 22, 2025; he was 57. Jack and his twin brother, Michael, were born on May 17, 1968, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Never wanting to be the center of attention, Jack graciously allowed Michael to go first before surprising his parents and doctor with his arrival.

Jack was one of four Roskind boys and grew up a Steelers' fan surrounded by Cowboys. He was a Rocky Top football and country music guy. He was the mechanic. A fisherman. A hunter. He was the guy with a sleeping bag and tent while the family preferred AC and a king-sized bed. Regardless of those differences, the brothers were brothers through and through.

Jack graduated from Cleveland High School in 1986 and enlisted in the Air Force. Over his twenty-year career, he traveled the globe to include South Korea, Germany, Alaska, and Egypt – to name a few. Although he was injured during Desert Storm, he never received a medal. To be fair, the broken rib occurred diving for a ball during a base sand volleyball tournament. He was honorably discharged in 2006.

He graduated from college and received graduate degrees. Yet his greatest accomplishment was becoming the man and dad he grew into. He made mistakes along the way, but ultimately, Jack is a man to remember.

At the time of his passing, Jack shared his life with Donna Roskind, and is survived by his kids, Abigail, Kasmira, and Gabriel; his oldest and youngest brothers, David and Andrew; nephews, Matthew, Nathan, and Grant; nieces, Lilly and Alexis; his extended family, Seth, Ellyn, Sheila and others.

Jack dealt with the loss of his parents, Susan and Adams, other family members, and friends, but he was truly heartbroken when his twin died. He's at peace now.
