Jason T. Yates, 53 of St. Cloud, Florida passed away on January 21, 2025 after a brief and brave battle with cancer.

Jason was born on October 26, 1971 in Orlando, Florida to Henry and Karen Yates. After Jason graduated from St. Cloud High School in 1989, and studied Respiratory Therapy at Valencia College. After graduating with a degree in Respiratory Therapy he took on the role of long-term caregiver of his grandmother and later went to work for GoHealth. His passion for taking care of others led him to his ultimate career where he found his calling as a health insurance consultant and agent.

Jason also had a passion for reading and building as much knowledge as possible. He would say Knowledge is power. Jason loved to have a good time, and was the life of any party. He loved telling stories and would have his audience laughing until they cried. He was such a mischievous guy; always playing pranks and wanting to make everyone laugh. Most of all, he truly cherished his time at his grandparents farm in Kenansville. Some of his fondest memories were made on that land in a place that always mattered most.

Jason was predeceased by his grandparents Felton and Norma Harvey of Kenansville, Fl, his grandfather Clark Yates of Christmas, FL, and grandmother Edna Mae Tyson of St. Cloud, Fl. He is survived by his parents Henry and Karen Yates of St. Cloud, sister Amanda (Yates) Yontz, her husband Jack Yontz, and their son's Nolan and Cole Yontz, also of St. Cloud.

A celebration of Life will be held at the home of a family member at 4359 Albritton Rd. St. Cloud, Fl 34772 on Saturday, February 1st from 1pm to 4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Osceola Reads, as Jason had a passion for reading and promoting reading for our youth and in our community.
