Kelley Vaughan Nye, a beloved wife, mother, nana, daughter, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2025, at Advent Health Hospital, in Orlando Florida.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 15, at Midway Baptist Church located at 1200 Moseley Road, Macon, GA 31220. Dr. Ben Haygood and Reverand Kevin Crosby will be officiating the service. The family will gather from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. and welcome friends at noon for services to begin at 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be served after the services have finished.

Kelley was born on August 23, 1970, in Macon Georgia. She graduated from Central High School in 1988. Later in life, Kelley returned to school where she received her associate degree from Valencia College in 2017. Kelley's warm presence and caring nature left an undeniable mark on all who knew her. Kelley's love for her family was unparalleled, and she often expressed this through the time she spent with them, the care she provided, and the joy she found in life's simple pleasures. Kelley's sense of humor was a trait we loved most. One of Kelley's greatest successes was as a mother and nana. There was nothing that she wouldn't do for them.

Kelley's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew her, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide us. Her laughter, her funny jokes, and her ability to make everyone feel cherished will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Kelley is survived by her husband Raymond Nye, her daughter Jacquelyn Vaughan "Mandy" and her husband Luis Echevarria, her three sons, Brian Stryker and his wife Isabelle Stryker "Izzy", Cody Wilde and his husband Colin Wilde, and youngest son Jordan Nye, and her grandchildren Kaylyn Echevarria, Luis Echevarria, Kayden Echevarria, Anthony Staples, Rose Staples, Warren Staples, Christina Schladen, Jose Castro, Rubin Villenueva, and Mileaka Villenueva, who were all Kelley's pride and joy. She also leaves behind her mother Jacquelyn Haygood Glover "Jackie" and her husband David Glover, her father Douglas Vaughan "Chappie" and his wife Selena Vaughan, her brother Ken Vaughan and his wife Terri Jean Vaughan, sisters Kristy Vaughan, Tracey Glover and her husband Robert Miller, and Keri Weaver and her husband Neal Weaver. Kelley comes from a big family and leaves behind many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles.

As we say goodbye to Kelley, we celebrate the life of a woman who was a beacon of kindness and love. Her legacy is one of unwavering devotion to her family, a testament to the beautiful life she lived, and the countless lives she touched. Kelley's memory will be treasured forever, as we hold her close to our hearts and remember the light she brought into this world.
