Luis
Vargas
Feb 18, 1959 — Nov 11, 2024
Kissimmee
Luis, a man of few words with a big heart, was a loving husband, stepfather, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend. His family was the center of his life. He loved being with his family. Wichin, as he was known by many, was a man of faith. God was central in his life.
While battling cancer for close to four years, he enjoyed the big and little things in life. He celebrated his 65th birthday in his birthplace of Puerto Rico with his 11 siblings and family. He also enjoyed driving his horse-themed Tacoma truck.
Although family and faith were the core of his life, Luis also loved his job. He worked for 30 years at Disney Springs Doubletree. Side effects from cancer treatments may have deterred others, yet Luis went to work! He considered his coworkers his extended family.
Luis is survived by his loving wife, Maria Rivera; two stepdaughters, Melba and Alicia, as well as his three grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and 11 siblings.
Luis, the faithful warrior, will be missed.
