Obituary

Timothy Wayne Pugh of Monroe, Virginia passed away on November 3, 2023 at the age of 74.

Tim was born in Orlando, Florida on January 24, 1949 and was a lifelong Florida resident.  He attended Maynard Evans High school before joining the US Navy at the age of 18.  He served in active duty and the reserves from 1967 until January 1973 during the Vietnam war.  Upon leaving the military he worked for Coca Cola briefly and then Southland Corporation in Orlando for 18 years where he met his wife Rebecca.

He left Southland in 1990 shortly after his first son Justin was born to start Tim's Lawn Maintenance.  After 21 years he sold the business and retired, later moving to Monroe, Virginia with his wife Rebecca.

Tim and Rebecca have two sons Justin and Kasey.  Tim was a Boy Scout leader for Troop 192 in St. Cloud, FL when his boys were young.  Tim was baptized in the Christian faith at Cornerstone Church where he was a member for many years. He later joined Church at Harmony where he served as a deacon.

Even though Tim was diagnosed with polycystic kidney disease when he was 50 and received a subsequent kidney transplant a few years later, he maintained a positive outlook on life. Tim was an avid hunter, fisherman, and all-around outdoorsman and he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family in the woods, around the campfire, gardening, or cooking a delicious meal. A devoted  husband, father, and loyal friend, Tim always thought of others before himself. His presence will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

Tim was preceded in death by his parents Leonard and Agnes Leggett Pugh, brother Leonard Pugh Jr. and sister Marjorie Yogi Pugh

He is survived by his wife Rebecca and two sons Justin and Kasey; Brothers Don Pugh and Jackie Pugh (Okyim);
