William (Bill) Ring passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025. He will surely be remembered by all who have ever met him for his eccentric nature. Some of his favorite memories are of his time at Oak Park and River Forest High School (Class of '63) and in college in the Chi Psi fraternity, his summer jobs at Six Flags Over Texas, working in sales for Shell Oil in Detroit, and owning his own optical store in downtown Chicago. He is survived by his daughter, Lisa, whose academic accomplishments he often bragged about. He is preceded in death by his beloved dog, Steve, and his cat, Sonic, whose life he saved after finding him injured on the side of the road. In lieu of flowers, please just smile every time you think of him.
